The Nejjarine Museum is located on a site of nearly 300 years. It is an old two storey fondouk that has been beautifully restored. In the heart of the medina lies the Batha Palace, built by Hassan I. The madrassas are a living testimony of the intellectual, scientific and political past of the city of Fez. These old schools are located in the neighborhoods of the medina. The Al Karaouiyine Mosque was founded in 859 by a pious woman Oum Al Banine Fatima Al Fihriya, the most important in the history of Fez. Recently restored, Jardin Jnane Sbil is a true oasis of pure air, created in the 18 th century by Sultan Moulay Abdallah. It has more than 3,000 plant species, some of which are very rare.
The Glaoui Palace This magnificent residence was built at the beginning of the 19th century, by the pasha of Marrakech Thami Glaoui to serve as his residence when he went to Fez.
